My absolute favourite Scripture of all time is Romans 8:28. To save you time, here it is: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (NKJV).
For the longest time I held onto this verse with all of my might. I knew that, in the end, everything will fall into place, exactly as our Abba Father has planned. Wherever I made stupid mistakes and choices, He would find a way to use even those and make something beautiful thereof. And He did. He always does! I still hold onto this promise every single day.
He loves puzzles and will complete each puzzle in our lives within the bigger picture of His divine plan in the end. We will stand back and watch in awe. I promise you that. It ties in so neatly with Jeremiah 29:11, which is another favourite: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (NKJV)
Someone once said: "If it's not good, it's not the end." So, I want you to ponder upon that statement. Do you love Him? Are you His child, called for a higher purpose? We all are! Then hold on to what your heart longs for. Hold on to the promises God has for each and every child of Him. He will work behind the scenes, above our heads, and everywhere else we cannot see to ensure that His purposes for your life will transpire.
After Luzanne Nel's book launch, which was a huge success, even though the books were so hot off the press, that the title "Woman in Waiting" seemed a bit prophetic for all the women who had to wait until the next day to read their copies, she gave me a thank you gift. Behold! A keyring with the scripture, Romans 8:28.
To me, this was God, saying: "Told you so."
The reason why I haven't blogged in a while, was because of the hectically busy time we just went through... first Luzanne's book, then a bunch of deadlines for my assignments from my Theology studies and then Kobus Theron's book was finalised and the files were sent off to the printers - just in time for our deadline. So far, so good. This verse, again, carried me through.
Trust, dear reader, trust in God. He will make you breathe a breath of relief when everything finally falls into place.
